Run by James Claxton – Our Head Coach (ETBF Level 3) and Club Professional (IBPSIA Certified Ball Technician)

James, originally comes from a military family where he was fortunate to travel the world. In 1991 he eventually settled in Ayr where he has lived ever since and now calls his hometown. James’ family have bowled all his life, so it was natural that he also took to the game early on. In 1997 James started learning the ropes as a technician in his local bowling Alley and quickly became head of that department. In early 2000 James started competing for the Scottish National teams and has been a regular International representative ever since.

He has worked with many different levels of bowlers, but his main goal is to help customers to simplify their bowling game helping to achieve higher scores. With an exceptional understanding of the biomechanics associated with the bowling technique, lane play and custom fitting. He will ensure your bowling game improves in a simplistic but effective manner! James still competes regularly in leagues and on the STB Tour during the year and strives to keep his own bowling game in top shape.

James has over 25 years of bowling experience and has ran our Pro-Shop for 15 years of those. He is friendly, thorough and hands on with everyone that steps through his door. He loves to assist his clients to better their games and considers every single one apart of the team.

The Pro Shop stocks all leading brands, equipment and provides professional advice for every level of Bowler. James price matches where possible.
